Autograph Authentication

At Inked Authentics, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of authenticity for every item we offer. All autographs and signed memorabilia available in our store have been professionally authenticated by at least one of the industry’s most respected third-party services: Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA/DNA), Beckett Authentication Services (BAS), or James Spence Authentication (JSA).

These three leading authentication companies follow rigorous, expert-driven protocols to verify signatures. Each begins with a thorough examination by experienced authenticators, who analyze factors such as ink characteristics, signature structure, and comparative exemplars—often utilizing advanced tools like video spectral comparators—to determine authenticity.

Authentication Features

Tamper-Evident Certification Label/Sticker — Once deemed genuine, the item receives a tamper-evident sticker or label bearing a unique certification number. This security feature is designed to show clear evidence of any attempted removal or alteration.

Letter of Authenticity (LOA) — For many premium or multi-signed items, a detailed printed Letter of Authenticity is issued. This document includes the certification number, a photograph of the authenticated item, and supporting details from the examination process. In some cases, the certification sticker may be affixed directly to the LOA, with the photo linking the signature to the documentation.

Encapsulation — For added protection, certain items can be sealed in a hard, tamper-evident plastic holder (also known as a slab) that includes a label with item details and the certification number. This service is currently offered by PSA/DNA and BAS for eligible items such as photos, cards, cuts, and more.

Verifying Authenticity

To ensure the certification on your item is genuine, each company maintains a secure online database accessible via their official website:

Enter the unique certification number from the sticker, label, LOA, or holder.

The database will display matching details, including the signer(s) and item description.

If the information aligns with your item, this confirms its authenticity through the respective company’s records.

Official Certification Verification Portals

You can independently verify your certification number directly on the authenticators’ secure websites:
